Mummy's the sweetest
Yesterday, mum and dad went to visit my paternal grandparen's tombs, in my father's hometown, castellamonte, over 100 km from where we live; when they heard that dad's sister was home too, they stopped along the road and decided to take her something, as there's a good chance that we'll not be able to visit before Christmas: the gift of choice was a flower.
As the florist was wrapping the plant, my mother saw this mini-orchid, white, really cute, and asked dad if he minded she added that too the to shopping: of course he didn't mind.
"You know, it's for my baby girl. She just loves orchids!" mum told her.
"Oh, how cute and sweet! and how old is your baby girl?"
Mum stood in silence for a second or two (or maybe a million) and then told her "31. but she'll always be my baby girl."
