comic book quotations & The Mentalist

little_firestarOut of curiosity, has anyone ever noticed the comic book quotations inside the Mentalist? I was thinking about writing a post about this, I've been interested in your point of view. Also, could anyone point out something in case I missed them? What I have so far is:
-The smiley face: killers, watchem and their symbol, from Evil Ernie to The Comedian.
-Superhoers and theri teams, from the Avengers and the Justice League: daredevil's augmented senses, the fighters of the good fight,
-batman and the lone ranger, looking from justice and vangance. Humans, but masters detective. Also, how tragedy can shape an (anti) hero
-Who watches the watchemn: how far to have justice?
