So... in the last seven days, we got two brand new tv-shows, both focused, more or less, around teh same topic- characters from the fables are walking among us. even if with a different kind of scenario.
At first sight, Grimm would look a bit like Supernatural- we have an hunter, fighting the evil creatures hidden in the night, but.... with a buffy hint (he is "choosen", from his line of blood) with, added in the mix (he freaks out whehn he meets the big bad wolf and ask him from explanations. , "what, you just got teh books?" "ypu know about the books?" "man, you really are new..." I hope I'l see this guy again. looks like the tech guy in some old movies, only, he is the weid things wiz guy...) a bit of salt as well and of procedural drama 8he is a cop, so he both hunts criminals and he hunts down monsters. metaphor much?)
the show isn't that bad, and quite interesting, with all the ingredients, and also a cliff at the end fo the pilot (which is not really a cliff. really, whou could actually beleive that they are going to kill off the main character after one episode?) but I found it a bit... slow, and maybe there was too much in the mix. one minute you are dealing with horror, and the next one with a teen-age like freaking out cop.... so, suspension of judgement here, at least for another couple of weeks. who knows. the things has potential, maybe they'll improve.
Once upon a time, instead.... well, I'll give you an help: it's in teh topic's title. yep, Enchanted. let's see....
-the prince meets the princess. there's an evil, witchy queen looking after the developments.
- the evil witch/(former) queen shows up at the wedding, and casta a spell,s ending them where there's no happily ever after.
-princess ends up in our world.
obviously, from, ehre on, the story changes. and ehre, prince and princess (chamring prince and snow white) got actually married, and were both tranposrted abck here along with everyone else.
it's not bad, also because... well, it is a dark fairytale, not just like Grimm, that seems to be basically an horror story. teh main protagonist? Snow White's 28 years old daughter, Emma, played by 32 years old Jennifer Morrison, former House star.
