waste of time....
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
So, typical day on the job. only, it's not.
there' s "Cheese", the festival of Cheese by Slow Food next town, so, being the one where I work a shop of local and typical products, and with people being obsessed with such products, if there's something like that (or the truffle festival, or the wine festival) I happen to work a lot more.
Which I don't have a porblem with, really. I'm not scared of working, and I'm willingly to do almost everything (don't ask me to sell cigarettes. or to work all alone in a bar in the worst zone of town, where late at night is full of drugs dealers, drugs addicticts, the one s of the worst kind, and drunken, again of the worst kind. I almost did it, and almost cried.)
Anyway.... I was supposed to close shop from 1 pm to 2 pm, but there were people, so I kept open untill 1.40. noi porblem, even if I still ahd to do lunch and I had breakfast, little one, very early in the morning.
I was ok with that, really.
What I'm not ok with? I'll tell you what.
A group of people , 4 adults, from 50 to 60, two emn and two women, comes in, strat asking me questions about products, one in particular. how it is amde. how long you can keep it. does it take long to be ready when you cook it, how much of it you have to take for each person.
what woudl you assume from such questions? i don't know about you, but I assumed they wnated to buy soemthing, so I asked them how I could help them any further, what they were interested in....
"Nothing, we were just curious". and went away.
Meanwhile, I spent 15 minutes expalining things to them, while clients who were willing to buy went somewhere else to purchase what they were interested in because I couldn't give them my attention. because of 4 idiots.
