what to buy for the 18th birthday...

In eleven days time, my brother, Andrea, will finally turn 18. Legally adult, he can't wait for it- especially because he can't waut for voting. he is in taht stage when he thinks a vote matters, and politcs is actually usefull an d for people's sake.
But, I am (we all are at home) struggling woth a dilemma.
What do you give to a boy for such an important date (don't say car, because we both just..ehm.. got our granfather's panda. that's what it happens when your granfather's driver license is retired due to lack of view, he and his wife just moved in with us, and the car is good and fine and well)....?

#He is a chef
#Follow every sport religiously- mostly, soccer and cycling
#jjUVENTUS follower. yes, even when theings weren't good.
#he is a healty kind of person- he goes to the pool to swim, but, moslty, he takes his bike and makes kilometres every damn day. and, man, the guy can eat healty...
#Doesn't wear jewels- merely his watch (I bought him a cross, sine I was his Godmother at the crism, but he never wore it...)
#he is a sci-fi kind of guy (yeah, I did a pretty good job with that...)- loves the Superman movies, teh Smallville serie, Indiana Johns, the X-men Trilogyand the Wolverine movie, and, well, his favorite movies of all the times were the Star wars ones (he isn't a trekker,though, too bad...)
#he hates goes to shopping for clothes or shoes. not that he really nees new clothes, he lost weight for his obsessive healty way that he is wearing very old clothes...
#no, he doesn't love to read. and he barely watch tv, if not for following sport. he could live on foootball matches, I think.

Not exactly my best work, I have to say, but I'm trying to improve.
Besides, I've just erased a good two cahpters - based on the first 3 issues of the Avengers Title, recently relaunched. Can't like this book till now, it's a bit too....slow and fast at the same time. what is supposed to happen doesn't happen, but too many things happen at the same time.
I've decided that, emanwhile, I'll come up with soemthing else instead:  a run based on the current New Avengers title. there's something about the new avengers that i simply love.
(and i wonder why bobby doesn't ask her husband and parker how they can handle being in two groups, but she asks Logan...)

Mentalist obsessed....

Ok, I admit it, I've been a bit (ok, a lot) obsessed with the tv shows The Mentalist lately....
I'll not talk about hpow much time I spent looking over and over again at the first two seasons episodes, and I'll not talk about how I'm dying for season 3 to start in 35 days time, and I'll talk about how adamant I am about how obviously there's a certai kind of iteration between Teresa Lisbon, on the book special agent, and patrick Jaen, smatass, jackass, pain  of a consultant whose number one rule is "break into suspects' houses whenever you can"  (first minutes of the pilot: he breaks into the house of the murdered girl, made hismelf tea and a snack, question the wife about how he is sure her husnad was abusing the girl, just to remain speechless as the  aforementioned  husband comes back home to be murdered by his wife, who is sure right now he had kilkled the girl. obviosly, it's funnier looking at it, but, still) , and I'm not talking about the way Simon Baker dismessed all our dreams (Bruno once told he wasn't totally against them as a couple, but that he needed the right plot and charachter development), and I'm not saying how I'm sure they'll end like Molder and Skully at the end.
