the mentalist moves to midseason

Cbs is moving the mentalist in the midseason, either in winter or next summer, suggesting a shorter run, or a series broken in two.....
Sigh.

I've heard people talk about 13 episodes, I've no idea whether it's confirmed or not. Anyway, fewer episodes (and a later start) is still better than nothing, isn't it?
